Rallie and I bought 2 Gaui 200 at 3D Masters 2008. We choose the beltdrive version, I run mine with this setup: Stock, Regulator + motor 3xHS45 for swash CSM 420 + Robbe FS 61 high speed cool DX7 with 6100e receiver Mystery 900mah 2S Lipo The heli is assembled from the factory, but I found some things to keep an eye on:
I found the tail to be at little under powered to the left side, but this adjustment helped a lot:
It is quite hard to find the right place for the radio gear. There isn´t much space on a micro heli and not all battery's fits the battery tray. Here is my setup.
I also bought the lightweight canopy, here are some pics side by side. The light one don`t hold in crashes
One of me mates Henning found this battery http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.7621 hard to beat at the price. It fits the tray perfect, and it can deliver more power than the stock Gaui Lipo. When used with the Esky charger http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12856 it truly is a PLUG and PLAY setup.
The Gaui is great fun to fly, it is fast and if you don´t keep your eyes on it you are fucked. I have quite a few crashes and these are the parts I have broken so far: 832010 Spindle Shaft screws (buy plenty of these) 883503 Long Neck Balls 203222 Long Main shaft 203180 Landing gear brace 203605 CF fin set 203326 Universal Links pack 203580 Mixing arms 203329 Swashplate guide I have yet not been able to destroy the plastic blades, they bend, but not more than you can straiten them. The wooden blades fly better, but they die in crashes. |
